This year we all can look forward to sailing away on some dreams.  The newest ship is the Disney Dream.  It is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on January 26, 2011 from Port Canaveral, Florida.    Disney’s Dream will sail three-four and five night cruises to the Bahamas.

I was talking with my family members about planning a vacation for our grandchildren on this cruise next year.  I was amazed at all of the activities they have for adults.  Whenever I go to Disney, I am a kid again.  I will never be too old!

The ship will have several innovations, including Aqua-Duck, a water coaster that combines the ups and downs of a roller coaster with the twists and turns of a water slide.  Magical Portholes offer a “virtual window” for inside staterooms with a real-time view outside the ship where high-definition cameras feed live video to each stateroom.  Remy, a top-deck restaurant is for adults only. Will offer French inspired gourmet cuisine.

I am planning for 2012 now.

Happy Sailing!!

What are your plans for the New Year?

It seems everyone is asking that question.  I can’t determine if it’s just a conversation starter or if they really are sincere in wanting to really know the answer.

Well for all of the people who have asked the question; here it is.

I planned my vacations for 2011 in 2010.  My plans are already made and I know where I’m going in 2012.

My advice:  Plan ahead

Holiday Travel 2010

The East Coast was hit with what Good Morning America called “The Holiday Blizzard of 2010.”

This picture says it all.

Winter Storm

While airline passengers had to deal with long days and delayed flights all over, it was some kind of storm that had not hit the east coast in 100 years.

Traveling during the holidays can be rough; however it’s nothing like being home for the holidays.

In the future, if you are stuck at the airport traveling with small children, dealing with flight delays and unexpected interruptions of your travel plans.

A word of advice:   Travel with a small blanket and pillow.  You can purchase these items from Target or Wal-Mart at a reasonable price.  If you have small children with you, remember to bring one for each and some snacks.

This information may or may not help you now if you are still at the airport. However please keep it in mind for the next time you travel.

Happy Travels!

Hello world!

I made a promise to myself that I would no longer procrastinate on something I have always wanted to do.  The time is now and I’m starting today!  I will not wait for the new year to begin before I start this project.  Writing this blog is not a New Year’s resolution, but a desire.

Hello World!

My first post will not be very long but it is a start.  I will commit to posting on my blog a short paragraph, pictures or something so long you will get tired of reading.  I can only tell you what I’m thinking.  My thoughts and views of travel, life, what’s happening in the world around me from my prospective.

This is a promise I have made for myself.  I sincerely hope that any promise we have made for ourselves will be fulfilled in this New Year!
